NRL contract news: Daniel Suluka-Fifita joins Bulldogs following Rabbitohs release image

Daniel Suluka-Fifita has joined a third NRL club following his release from South Sydney to sign with the Bulldogs.

The front-rower has headed to Belmore on a two-year deal after being granted a release from his Rabbitohs contract, which was also due to run out at the end of 2025.

Suluka-Fifita is currently sidelined as he recovers from an ACL injury but is expected to be available for selection by mid-season.

The 24-year-old played 15 first-grade games with Souths following 20 appearances for the Roosters.

Bulldogs football boss Phil Gould spoke about the signing following the announcement.

"Daniel is a tremendous young talent who has shown great potential coming through the pathways at Roosters and playing NRL at Souths," Gould said.

"We are excited to have him at the Club and he will add great depth to our forwards."

When fit, Suluka-Fifita will likely be competing with the likes of Sam Hughes, Liam Knight, and fellow new signing, Zane Tetevano, for a place in the 17.

Upon his release, Rabbitohs head of football Mark Ellison wished the big man well.

"Daniel has been hampered by injury over the past two years but he has always put his best foot forward with the opportunities he has been given to wear the Rabbitohs jersey," Ellison said.

"We wish Daniel and his family the best of luck for the future."
