Daly Cherry-Evans has signed a two-year extension with the Manly Sea Eagles, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2025 season.

Manly confirmed the news on Wednesday, locking their skipper in for another two seasons beyond his existing deal which expired at the end of 2023.

The veteran halfback has been at Manly since 2011, playing 265 games and going on to become their captain.

At 33 years of age, Cherry-Evans is now all but certain to finish his career as a one-club player.

"We have always wanted Daly to be a one club player and are delighted to extend his contract with the Sea Eagles until the end of 2025," Manly chairman Scott Penn said.

"He is our club captain, an inspirational leader and this contract extension will take him well past 300 games for the Sea Eagles."

The deal comes following a tumultuous period at the club, with chief executive Stephen Humphreys announcing his resignation, as well as star fullback Tom Trbojevic suffering a knee injury.
