Fans will be welcomed onto the Shark Park field in September as part of a fundraising event for former Cronulla Sharks player Nathan Stapleton.

The initiative will see the Sharks partner with Flow Athletic to put on a silent disco yoga event in support of Stapleton and his family.

Stapleton was left a quadriplegic after sustaining an injury whilst playing country rugby union in April.

The 32-year-old fractured his neck and sustained a spinal cord injury, paralysing him from the shoulders down. He currently needs a ventilator to breathe and remains in intensive care.

The fundraiser yoga class - titled Flow After Dark - will be held at PointsBet Stadium on Wednesday, September 7 at 6:30 pm (AEST).

Guests can join in person or via live stream.

Australian yoga instructor Kate Kendall will lead the 60-minute all-levels class, which will run alongside a live set from DJ James Mack.

It is one of a number of initiatives that the Sharks have run to assist in the fundraising efforts.

They had previously auctioned off jerseys from their win over Manly in April.

GoFundMe page has also been set up on behalf of the Stapleton family, which has raised over $200,000 at the time of writing.
