The criticism from Brisbane's old boys won't die down after their fifth loss in sixth games with club great Glenn Lazarus lining up for his shot at the under siege outfit.
Broncos coach Anthony Seibold shunned the pressure from a long list of critics and insisted his team would push through adversity and dramatically turn their season around.
''When you're going through tough times that's when you see who's really a rusted-on supporter and who is really dedicated to the cause,'' he said.
''This is an easy time for people to have a free shot at the Broncos. I've only been back there since December but whether it's ex-players or old boys, whether it's supporters or members - whoever it is it's probably an easy time to have a crack club.''

But after equalling their worst start to a season in history, conceding the most points (141) in their opening six rounds since 2010, Lazarus couldn't bite his tongue for much longer and was offended by Seibold's post-game comments.
“He was in an NRL job for 12 months, now he’s signed a five-year contract with probably the most scrutinised [team] when it comes to the fans and Brisbane and south east Queensland,” Lazarus told Macquarie Sports Radio.
“They’re a popular side but they're scrutinised to the max.
“I think he’s deluded in some ways, some of the comments he’s saying.”
Seibold has now taken a hit from Brisbane legends Gorden Tallis, Justin Hodges and Trevor Gillmeister who have questioned the club's culture, taken aim at the leadership group and fired shots at their decision to appoint Seibold over Kevin Walters.
Lazarus has backed Hodges' earlier calls for mass changes, suggesting their current structure will only translate into more losses.
“They’re not playing poorly, I mean there’s effort there, but they’re not winning, they’re just not winning games and it’s becoming consistent,” Lazarus said.
“Something needs to change, they cannot continue down this path of playing the same team week in, week out and getting the same result.
“Its not the result South East Queensland and all the Broncos fans want, so [Seibold] has to do something.
“I felt the halves were better than they were the week before, but they’re not organisers, they need this leadership and they don’t have it.
“There’s very little leadership across the board aside from Darius Boyd, who I thought played OK but he’s not playing out of his skin.
“You can't continue to go down this path and not look at stats which he said in an interview last week that stats were crap - well I'm sorry but that's what the game is about and how poorly you are doing in those areas.
''Take a hit to the pride and be realistic and make some changes there. I’m not the only one calling for it.”
The road ahead will test their spirit to the fullest, facing three of last year's top four teams in Cronulla, South Sydney and the Roosters over the next four weeks.
