Departing Dragons star Zac Lomax is the latest player to heap praise on new Broncos coach Michael Maguire.
The 25-year-old winger played under 'Madge' at Blues camp this year, with NSW going on to win the 2024 State of Origin series.
During an appearance on
Triple M’s Rush Hour, Lomax recalled his time with the 50-year-old."Madge was unbelievable. He’s the best coach I've had, hands down," he said.
"I absolutely loved every second of it. Madge, the best thing about him is he’s a good fella. He knows what the team needed.

"His job … he just wanted to bring everyone together. The way he went about it was unbelievable. It’s the best thing I’ve seen.
"He deserves every success that goes his way. I’m sure he’s going to have a real successful stint at the Broncos, for sure."
Zac Lomax is also headed to a new club next season.
Despite his contract with the Dragons initially running until 2026, Lomax has opted to leave the Red V early, as he heads to the Eels for 2025.
Many believe that coach Shane Flanagan’s decision to place him wing may have been one of the key reasons behind his exit.
