Coming off arguably his finest NRL season, Brisbane Broncos edge Jordan Riki has chosen to stay loyal to the Broncos, signing a three-year extension on Friday.
The extension will keep the 23-year-old at Red Hill through the 2027 season, and arguably lengthen the Broncos premiership window with the skilful backrower only 67 appearances into his NRL career.
Riki inked his last contract at Red Hill in 2021 and had previously alluded to never fully entertaining leaving the Broncos.
“I’m huge on loyalty. For me, the Broncos gave me and my family an opportunity when I was just 15 years old,” Riki told Fairfax in September.
“I’m very comfortable here, I call the staff members and boys my family, so I’m definitely very comfortable here.”
Jordan Riki signs three-year extension with the Brisbane Broncos
“Jordan bought into what we are building here at the Broncos from the very start,” Broncos coach Kevin Walters said in a statement.
He was one of the first players to commit to stay even when things weren’t going so well, and now he has again chosen to stay at the club he loves which is fantastic news for us here at the club.
“Jordan continues to work hard on his game, he does the little things really well and he wants to play his role for the team – and that’s exactly the kind of player we want in the Broncos jersey.”
Jordan is locked in until 2027 🤝

What does Riki’s contract mean for the rest of the Broncos?
With fellow rising star Brendan Piakura locking in his own three-year extension with the club this week, the future of premiership-winning Origin forward Kurt Capewell remains clouded.
Capewell is currently under control through the 2024 season but with the retention of Adam Reynolds, Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh still to be finalised, Capewell may be forced out due to salary cap space.
Who have the Broncos signed long-term?
With Riki now under contract for the future, Brisbane have Riki, Payne Haas, Patrick Carrigan, Jock Madden, Jesse Arthars, Deine Mariner, Piakura and Ben Te Kura all under contract through 2026.
