New Broncos coach Michael Maguire has made quick work of reviving Brisbane, after a dismal season under former boss Kevin Walters.
Among these changes includes the team changing their mind on the future of rising talent Kobe Hetherington.
Initially free to negotiate with other clubs, Brisbane have since withdrawn the freedom, intent on keeping the 25-year-old with the team going forward.

Broncos backflip on Hetherington decision
It was a slow year for Hetherington in Brisbane, starting just three games for the squad, and this reduced role had rival teams circling, with Walters telling the forward he was free to negotiate.
But Maguire has put a quick stop to this, keep the player under contract as they look to build on a poor 2024 season.
"He seems like a good fella; I think we're in for a tough preseason and I'm looking forward to that, can't wait," Hetherington said of new coach Maguire.
"He's said he wants me to stay... I never want to leave the Broncos and I'll always have a soft spot for [Walters].
"It's on me [to earn a starting spot]; if I do all the right things then I've got a good shot at it."
The Broncos missed the top eight in the 2024 season, after losing the 2023 grand final.
