Brent Naden will receive a four-match ban for his dangerous throw tackle on Jake Trbojevic, assuming he accepts an early guilty plea.

If he does challenge the suspension and is unsuccessful, the Wests Tigers centre will miss five weeks of action.

The NRL's match review committee deemed Naden's tackle a grade three incident.

The incident - which occurred in the 64th minute of Sunday afternoon's game between the Tigers and Sea Eagles - saw Naden grab Trbojevic's upper legs and swiftly tip the experienced lock over.

Trbojevic was uninjured, with Naden quick to check on him and apologise.

After the match, the experience Sea Eagles lock vouched for Naden, stating that he believed there was no malice in the act.

"It was all good. He was very apologetic and I think just the momentum, sort of trying to find the ground anyway, he was a bit unlucky so he was very sorry," Trbojevic said

"I was just happy we got a penalty, to be honest. It didn't hurt at all so it was fine, he was very apologetic he came to tell me after the game too, so there was no malice in it."
