Brisbane will unveil one of their brightest young talents in Round 27, with rookie hooker Blake Mozer set to make his NRL debut against the Storm.
The 19-year-old is one of the most highly-touted teenagers in rugby league, captaining the Queensland U19s side this year and has been a standout performer in reserve grade for Souths Logan Magpies.
Mozer will come off the bench for the Broncos, with head coach Kevin Walters opting to rest a number of key players for their final regular season fixture.
The Sporting News take a look at Mozer's career and future below.
Who is Blake Mozer? Broncos hooker set to make NRL debut
A two-time Maroons U19s representative, Mozer has come through the lower grades at Red Hill and has been likened to future Immortal and Queensland legend Cameron Smith.
With class and football smarts well beyond his years, the exciting young prospect is seen as the long-term No.9 at the club and is signed for another two years, despite the recent form of Billy Walters in his first full year at dummy-half.
Mozer was featured in The Sporting News' Rookie Watch in pre-season and is one of two debutants for the Broncos this weekend, with playmaker Josh Rogers coming into the lineup.
Prior to the opening round of 2023, Mozer spoke openly about his transition into the top grade, which has taken the entire year to come to fruition.
“Be patient, honestly that is a big thing for me,” he said.
"It’s a learning curve, my goal is to play NRL and I’m going to push as hard as I can to get there. My big goal is to play consistent footy, eventually crack NRL and once I get there, stay there.
“Physically I just need to get my body right, put a couple more kilos on, keep fit, play consistent footy at Q Cup level and hopefully get a crack at NRL.”
Mozer first joined the ranks at Brisbane as a 13-year-old and grew up idolising club legend Darren Lockyer.
