The 2024/25 Premier League season is well underway with Liverpool leading defending champions Manchester City as well as Arsenal by one solitary point with seven games down and 31 left to play.
Arne Slot's Reds also have Chelsea and Aston Villa chasing them down, with both teams on 14 points thus far — four behind the 2020 title winners.
Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham, on the other hand, will be hoping for improved results sooner rather than later in order to meet expectations.
The one thing that fans may notice is that there are no scheduled fixtures on October 12, 13 or 14.
The Sporting News explains why there will be no games this weekend after an exciting start to the new Premier League campaign.

Why are there no Premier League games this weekend?
The Premier League is taking a break for the weekend due to a scheduled window for international fixtures.
For most players in England, the international break means exchanging Premier League for UEFA Nations League action or 2026 World Cup qualifying, while others represent their countries around the globe in friendly matches.
Those not selected for their national squads will remain at their clubs to train.
