Tuesday, June 28: $400 COLOSSUS at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT)
Starting this final week of June at the WSOP is Event #51: $400 COLOSSUS which attracted a staggering 13,565 entrants from the two opening flights.
Earlier in the series, the $500 Housewarming set the record for fourth-largest WSOP field with 20,080 entrants. This year’s COLOSSUS is the sixth-largest WSOP field as it surpasses the 2019 COLOSSUS (13,109 entrants), 2018 COLOSSUS (13,070), and 2021 Reunion (12,973 entrants).
There would be 1,695 players finishing in-the-money, but all eyes would be on the $414,490 first-place prize and coveted WSOP bracelet that will be crowned to the COLOSSUS winner. Watch the final table live on PokerGO on Monday at 8 p.m. (5 p.m. PT).
Wednesday, June 29: $1,000 Tag Team at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT)
One of the unique events at the WSOP is Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team which features teams of two players rotating throughout the tournament.
In 2021 the number of team members was reduced to two, and it would be Mike Ruter and Samy Dighlawi winning their first WSOP bracelet and splitting the $113,366 first-place prize. Ruter and Dighlawi are friends from Temecula, California, and after being eliminated early in the 2019 installment of this tournament, they returned in 2021 and bested the 641-team tournament to claim WSOP gold.
Tune in to watch the final table of Event #55: $1,000 Tag Team on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) on PokerGO.com.
