Phoenix dropped its 61st contest of the year Monday (AEDT) with a 117-100 loss to the Warriors, clinching the worst record in the league and the best chance at the top pick in the 2018 NBA Draft with one game remaining.

The Suns will now have 25 percent odds to secure the No. 1 overall pick in the May 16 (AEDT) draft lottery, with a 64 percent chance of picking in the top three. Phoenix can't pick any lower than fourth overall.

The only other team to be last in those categories during a season was the 2011-12 Charlotte Bobcats, who only won seven games that year.
