With the world’s number one team struggling to put away the Scots in conditions that could politely be called “dismal”, the frustrations boiled over in the 51st minute when Raiders forward Joseph Tapine unleashed a fend and then a left hook while taking a hit up for the kiwis.

Scotland half Danny Addy responded with a shot of his own – a glancing blow unbefitting of anything more than a drunken alley scrap – before the troops arrived and settled the pair.
While the Scots got the penalty, no-one was binned for the flying hands.
