Piscotty, playing left field, collided with center field Peter Bourjos while both were chasing down a gap shot by Pittsburgh's Josh Harrison. Bourjos and right fielder Jason Heyward both immediately signaled for St. Louis' medical staff; Piscotty appeared to be unconscious.

Piscotty, thankfully, signaled to the crowd on his way out. Bourjos made the catch to help keep the game 0-0.
