The South Korean rose to the top of women's golf six days ago, replacing America's Stacy Lewis.

And the two put their credentials to the test during a fascinating finale at Miramar, with Park ultimately securing a two-shot victory over her nearest rival.

Park headed into the final round boasting a four-shot lead over the world number two and Feng Shanshan.

But having begun with successive birdies, she gave her rivals a sniff by bogeying the two holes prior to the turn.

And while Feng had slipped away, Lewis seemed keen to grasp the opportunity - illustrated by her moving to within a stroke of the lead via a birdie at 16.

Park found an immediate response, however, when picking up a shot at the next, with a par at 18 sealing her triumph on 22 under.

The result was very much in line with the world rankings, world number three Lydia Ko finishing behind Park and Lewis.

Danielle Kang also enjoyed a memorable week despite finishing tied for 46th.

The American amazingly hit her second hole-in-one in the space of nine days on Friday, winning a second car in the process.

Kang holed out with an eight iron on the par-three 17th to ensure she left the event with an Audi A6.

"It's pretty awesome. I was standing there and we all screamed," Kang said.

"Everyone was saying, 'Are you kidding me? Again? Another car?' And everyone is saying they wanted the car."
