Brazilian UFC veteran Fabricio Werdum insists he is not distracted despite police reportedly charging him on Friday following an incredible altercation with American fighter Colby Covington.

Werdum threw a boomerang at the head of Covington on Thursday outside of a Sydney hotel with the American also alleging a punch was thrown.

Despite a looming December court date, Werdum is fully focused ahead of his showdown with Marcin Tybura on Sunday.
"I was just waiting for you guys (the media), that’s it," he said on Friday.
“This will not affect anything.
"This is my job. This is nothing for me."
Werdum clearly able to see the lighter side of the whole thing joking at a post-weigh in show that he was just testing the boomerang.

The same can't be said for Covington who was pulled from media obligations after responding to the incident with a controversial and very racist video.
Covington has quite a history with Brazil after lashing out at a Sao Paulo crowd last month when he beat Demian Maia.
