Andy Murray is a stone. In between victories at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, the stoic Scot remained solemn as a belly dancer paid special attention to him at a players' dinner Tuesday night.
Yes, Murray did look; how could he avoid that? But the gyrating dancer got no reaction, as witnessed by photos from England's Daily Mail website.
Having beaten Luxembourg's Gilles Muller on Tuesday, Murray went to the dinner without fiancee Kim Sears. And despite the night's entertainment, he was equally as effective in dispatching Joao Sousa on Wednesday, winning 6-0, 6-2.
Next up for Murray: Croatia's Borna Coric, at 18 the youngest player in world rankings at No. 84.
"He's obviously one of the young guys who's going to continue to get better every week with experience," Murray said Wednesday.
"He's going to be making improvements in his game and realizing the things he needs to work on if he wants to get to the top of the game. He'll be a tough opponent. He's had some good wins already against top players."
Wednesday's winners included top seed Novak Djokovic, No. 2 Roger Federer and No. 4 Tomas Berdych. Murray is seeded third in the tournament.
