The three-time world champion is offering a lucky fan the chance to design his new race helmet for the 2017 season.
Hamilton sent out the opportunity via his Instagram account, with Mercedes providing the template for the design and a list of "handy hints" on their official website.
The Briton outlined his desired specification and the lucky winner will get the chance to meet Hamilton and receive a signed replica of the helmet.
Writing on Instagram, Hamilton wrote: "NEW HELMET DESIGN WANTED! Do you want to design my racing helmet for the upcoming F1 season?
"I will meet the winner personally at one of the tracks to present them with the prize of a full size signed replica helmet.
"I'm on the look out for a dope new layout that evolves my current theme and features the candy apple red in my existing design. I'll be picking the design that I feel is the most stylish, inspiring, iconic and eye-catching."
Hamilton was pipped to the title by Nico Rosberg last season, but will have a new team-mate this year in the shape of Valtteri Bottas following the German's surprise retirement.
