Tim Southee's last-ball four thwarted Delhi Daredevils' hopes of ending their Indian Premier League losing streak as Rajasthan Royals clinched a dramatic three-wicket victory.
After the hosts posted 184 in Delhi with the help of skipper JP Duminy (44), Deepak Hooda's knock of 54 gave Rajasthan a chance after a sluggish start to their chase at the Feroz Shah Kotla.
Imran Tahir (4-28) proved the most dangerous of the spinners, but even he failed to keep Royals at bay as Chris Morris (13) and Southee hit 13 off Angelo Mathews (1-42) in the final over.
Southee proved the hero with a four at the last to snatch victory from Delhi, whose winless run stands at 11 in the IPL - level with Pune Warriors' streak two seasons ago.
Mayank Agarwal (37) started positively for Delhi, but clipped Pravin Tambe's (1-18) delivery back at the bowler in the fifth over with Duminy coming in.
The captain helped his side past the 100 mark alongside Yuvraj Singh (27) after Shreyas Iyer (40) became Morris' (2-35) first victim, while Mathews was afforded a dropped catch from Ajinkya Rahane and went on to make 27.
Royals - again shorn of the services of injured captain Shane Watson - were set a target of 185 for victory and Rahane (47) and Sanju Samson (11) made a prosperous start before the latter found Yuvraj with a slog to deep midwicket.
Steve Smith (10) lasted just 10 balls before he fell to Amit Mishra's (2-32) second delivery and spin continued to pay dividends for Delhi, who then saw Karun Nair (20) and Stuart Binny (1) trapped by Mishra and Tahir in the space of two overs.
Hooda surpassed the half-century mark in just 22 balls to help Royals to 104 before Morris smashed a six with his first ball to pick up where his team-mate left off.
Tahir demonstrated his quality again to remove James Faulkner (17) with his penultimate delivery.
With 12 required off the final six deliveries, Mathews could not stop Morris picking up a four with a clipped effort to short fine leg, nor Southee's match-winning drive as Royals made it to 186 with their final ball.
