Scotland winger Tommy Seymour is a doubt for next Sunday's Six Nations clash against Wales due to a hip injury.

Seymour sustained the injury in the 18th minute of Scotland's opening game of the competition against France in Paris, which ended in a 15-8 defeat.

The Edinburgh man now faces a race against time to feature at Murrayfield next weekend and will return to his club for further assessment.

Vern Cotter's men are also set to give checks to several other squad members before the showdown with Wales.

Mark Bennett, Geoff Cross, Alasdair Strokosch and Robert Harley are all nursing leg complaints, while Alex Dunbar has a problem with his neck and shoulder.
