Former England international Mark Cueto has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.
The Sale Sharks winger made history in February 2013 when became the Premiership's all-time leading try scorer, beating the previous benchmark set by former team-mate Steve Hanley, and Cueto's tally stands at 87.
Cueto also enjoyed success on the international stage, representing England 55 times and playing in the 2007 World Cup final where he had a second-half try disallowed in a 15-6 defeat to South Africa.
The 35-year-old also featured in the 2011 showpiece and was a part of the 2005 British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand.
"The time has finally come to end my career and I would like to thank the owners, the coaches, backroom staff and the office staff who, down the years have helped me in my career," Cueto told Sale's official website.
"When I made my debut at Bristol back in 2001 I could hardly have dreamed that I would play for Sale Sharks for 14 seasons, represented my country all over the world and played with and against some of the all time greats."
Cueto will now take on a backroom role with Sale and is to become the club's first ambassador.
