After Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg joked about the level of competition in Formula One recently, the Mercedes driver has invited the former world champion to attend a team debrief on Friday.
Rosberg finished behind defending champion Lewis Hamilton at the season-opener in Melbourne on Sunday, ensuring a Mercedes 1-2, with the 29-year-old then pressed on whether he would prefer greater competition.
After Rosberg explained "it would be good if [Mercedes' rivals] can come a bit closer", Vettel jokingly questioned how geniune the comments were.
"If you don’t mind, I think your garage becomes public for Malaysia and everyone can have a look. No? I’m joking," the Ferrari driver added.
On Tuesday, Rosberg took to Twitter to formalise his invitation to Vettel, writing: "Dear Seb, this is the official invitation to join our debrief Friday 16.00 at Sepang. See you there, don't forget your notebook! :)
"i spoke to [team bosses] Toto [Wolff] and Paddy [Lowe] about an invitation for Sebastian and they are easy with it."
