Mark McCall insists there was never any panic at Saracens as they ended their lengthy losing run against Leicester Tigers on Sunday.
The European champions had lost seven games on the spin across all competitions before running out 29-17 winners at Welford Road.
Owen Farrell kicked 17 points, while a Jamie George score and a penalty try also helped Sarries on their way, and director of rugby McCall never doubted the quality of his side.
"We didn't think there was that much wrong. There was one horror show against Clermont," McCall said.
"The others were close games that we were ahead in, like we were today, so we're pleased that when it got close again we didn't jump."
The Tigers' misery was compounded by a late red card for England wing Jonny May, for a second deliberate knock on.
May was under pressure from Sarries forward Michael Rhodes while the visitors were attacking, and Leicester boss Matt O'Connor wants the law to be looked at.
"I would dearly love for the law makers to look at it because it is never a red card. It is tough but that is the way they are refereeing it and the way it is going," he said.
"No question marks about the result. You can't give Sarries 17 points and expect to pull it back."
