Glory moved seven points clear at the top of the standings after beating their nearest rivals in Geelong courtesy of first-half goals from Andy Keogh and Chris Harold.
Asked if supporters and journalists outside Western Australia would finally start giving his team the credit they deserve, Lowe said: "They better be now, I think we're seven clear."
"We are where we are because we've earned it.
"What we need to do now is improve and stay where we are. We need to improve and get better.
"We've played all the top teams away from home. Adelaide beat us and probably we weren't as horrible then as we are now," he added, referring to his team's next opponents, who visit nib Stadium on Monday night.
"We ain't Brazil, we ain't Barcelona, but we're quite efficient at what we do. But we need to get better. I want to get better, it's not just the players. I want to be better, I want to learn."
Lowe revealed Glory will look to make a signing in the January transfer window, with the club permitted to find cover for winger Youssouf Hersi, who is out for the rest of the season with a serious hamstring tear.
"We're trying to bring somebody in ... we've only got one replacement (place) for Youssouf, that's all we've got. It'll be like for like, if we can."
The Glory boss also dismissed suggestions the imminent three-week break for the AFC Asian Cup could halt his team's impressive momentum at just the wrong time.
"It's great for us," he said.
"We've got a lot of sore bodies. It'll be good for us to regroup, refresh and maybe revaluate what we've done."
