England captain Eoin Morgan insists failing to reach the Cricket World Cup quarter-finals is not even a thought after his side's loss to Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Joe Root (121) had helped England reach 309-6 in Wellington, but Lahiru Thirimanne (139 not out) and Kumar Sangakkara (unbeaten 117) saw their team to a nine-wicket win.
England are second-bottom in Pool A after winning just one of their first four matches, and a loss to Bangladesh or Afghanistan could send them packing.
But Morgan said that was not on his mind, with his focus on winning two matches and reaching the last eight.
"It's not even a thought at the moment," he told a media conference.
"Two games to win to get us into a quarter-final."
Morgan lamented his team's bowling performance as several of his pacemen struggled.
Chris Woakes (72 runs off 9.2 overs), Steven Finn (54 off eight) and Stuart Broad (67 off 10) came in for particular punishment.
Morgan said he was happy after England's batting performance, but felt his bowlers let themselves down with too many loose deliveries.
"We were happy going into the halfway stage, absolutely. Root had put in a great performance. Showed us class again, which is great," he said.
"But when we bowl one bad ball every couple of overs or every over, you're going to be punished."
