Michael van Gerwen's unbeaten run in the Premier League Darts was ended on Thursday, while Phil Taylor enjoyed a win before throwing away a second.
World number one Van Gerwen remains top of the standings despite going down 7-3 to fellow Dutchman Raymond van Barneveld at the GE Oil & Gas Arena in Aberdeen.
Converting just three of his 21 checkout chances proved costly for Van Gerwen, who had a better average (99.25 to 98.98) than his opponent.
Despite his first loss in 11 matches this season, he is one point clear of Dave Chisnall.
In the opening contest of the night, Englishman Chisnall was beaten 7-3 by Taylor as both averaged over 100.
Taylor, who sits fourth in the table, had his chances to close the gap further on Gary Anderson.
But he made a mess of his clash with Stephen Bunting, having to settle for a 6-6 draw.
Taylor led 5-2 but missed at double 16 in the eighth leg, before Bunting levelled the match with a 132 checkout.
Having broken throw for a 6-5 lead, Taylor looked back on track.
But in an extraordinary finish, both players struggled to hit doubles to finish off – Taylor missed 10 match darts and Bunting missed six for a draw before finally earning a 6-6 result.
Bunting was well-beaten earlier in the night by Adrian Lewis, who claimed a 7-2 win, while Anderson fought back from 6-2 down to draw 6-6 against James Wade.
