Rory McIlroy believes his superb victory at the Dubai Desert Classic has provided proof he is at the "peak of his powers".
The world number one signed off with a two-under par 70 at the Emirates Golf Club to finish 22 under par - a record low score for the tournament - and beat Alex Noren by three shots.
It continues an incredible run of form for the Northern Irishman, who has not finished outside of the top two in his last seven European Tour events, winning four titles in that period.
And in an ominous warning to his rivals, McIlroy feels he can continue to get better.
"I haven't had a run like this before. I'm not quite sure what it is," he said. "I'm at the peak of my powers.
"I'd like to think that I can still get better. I'd like to think that I can still improve in certain areas.
"But right now I'm very happy with where my game is. As I've said it feels like each week I turn up I have the chance to win."
McIlroy will now head to the United States to continue his build up to the first major of the season, The Masters, which starts in April.
Victory at Augusta National would complete a career Grand Slam for McIlroy and he sees no reason why he cannot continue his fine form and collect a first green jacket.
"I don't mind that The Masters is still a couple of months away," he added "I feel like I can keep this run of form going.
"There's no reason why I shouldn't. I'm comfortable with my game and I'm happy with how I'm swinging it.
"It's just a matter of keeping on top of things and not getting complacent and working hard."
