If Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao dish up even half the glitz and glamour of their only press call when they meet in the ring on May 2, we are in for a treat. When the pair faced the media for the only time together on Wednesday at LA's Nokia Theater, there was plenty to talk about.

"This is the Super Bowl of boxing and we're happy to be part of it. They're the two greatest boxers of their generation, they're in the same weight class and how often does that happen? I never realised until I got here today, walked the red carpet and saw all the cameras what a special event this is. This fight will transcend boxing. Tune in on May 2 - it's going to be very special." - HBO Sports president Ken Hershman.

"The entire world will be watching on May 2 this great event unfold." - Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank.

"I love challenges and this is the biggest challenge of my life. We are fighting the best fighter in the world but we're gonna kick his ass." - Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's trainer.

"I believe this is what the fans of boxing have been waiting for. We are undergoing hard training for this fight. We will do our best to make you happy." - Pacquiao sends a message to the fans.

"It's been a long road, but we are here now. This is a fight the world can't miss. May 2 is when the world stops - the biggest fight in boxing history." - Mayweather knows the world will be watching.

"I'm in the gym dedicating myself to the sport and pushing myself to the limit, because I never wanted to win a fight so bad in my life." - Clearly, motivation is not an issue for the pound-for-pound king.
