While Beast Mode’s apparent joy may bring a smile to the face of NFL fans, it didn’t sit well with Jets players who were on the wrong end of a 45-20 beating.

"That irks my ever-living nerves," Jets linebacker Jordan Jenkins said after the game (via the New York Daily News). "I was out on the field on kickoff return, and I saw that happen, and it just was infuriating.

"I wanted them to kick the ball short so we could go out and get some more contact because that pisses me off. … That was embarrassing, losing like that, and to have Marshawn dancing like that, a good player, but seeing that happen, that's infuriating for the whole team. It should infuriate everybody."

Jenkins said he didn’t find Lynch’s tactics unsportsmanlike because “that’s sports” and Lynch “earned every bit of what he did today.”

This low point for the Jets may be what they need to avoid a similar fate later in the season.

"It's their house. They can do whatever they want in it," linebacker Darron Lee said. “It's demoralizing, but we got to bow up and keep fighting. So we're definitely going to make sure that we don't put any other team in a position to go do that."

The 0-2 Jets host the Dolphins in Week 3.
