With her 64th World Cup victory, Lindsey Vonn served notice: She is the woman to beat in the upcoming world championships in Colorado.
It's been quite a year for Vonn. Denied a chance at the 2014 Sochi Olympics because of injuries, she is primed and ready to go for titles in the women's downhill and super-G during the first week of February.

The world's best skiers head to Vail and Beaver Creek courses in Colorado. Opening ceremonies are Feb. 2 at Vail.
Her surgically repaired knee is no longer a problem for Vonn. She will enter the worlds as points leader in both the downhill and super-G.
"The name of the game in super-G is having confidence," Vonn said St. Moritz, Switzerland, on Sunday. "You have to trust yourself and really attack no matter what."
Confident? Vonn won five of her 10 races this ski season.
"I tried to really push the limits and be smart in places where I knew there would be trouble," Vonn said. "Now I have a lot of confidence going into the world championships."
She set the World Cup record for victories on Monday with No. 63. No. 64 came when Vonn finished 0.24 seconds faster than Austria's Anna Fenninger at St. Moritz.
The women's super-G will be contested on Feb. 3. The downhill goes off on Feb. 6. Vonn also is weighing plans to compete in the giant slalom and super combined.
