Ester Ledecka narrowed the gap to Marion Kreiner in the parallel giant slalom standings by winning Saturday's FIS Alpine Snowboard World Cup meet in Sudelfeld.
Ledecka, who missed the start of the 2014-15 campaign with concussion, recorded her second World Cup victory of the season after winning in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein last month.
The Czech defeated Tomoka Takeuchi by a slim margin in the semi-final and would perhaps have expected to meet Kreiner in the big final, considering the Austrian won both of the previous two meets in the discipline this season.
However, Kreiner failed to beat Julie Zogg in the other last-four race, meaning she had to settle for a place in the small final.
Ledecka - who was fastest in qualification on Friday - subsequently triumphed over Zogg to shave 400 points off Kreiner's lead in the parallel giant slalom standings.
Kreiner was victorious in the small final, though, and she still holds a commanding 1,150-point lead over Ledecka.
