Darius Adams starred with 22 points on Sunday as Laboral Kutxa eased past top-eight rivals CAI Zaragoza 73-45 at the Fernando Buesa Arena.
The hosts have now won four of their last five league outings to sit sixth in the standings, despite being without injured forwards Davis Bertans and Fernando San Emeterio at the weekend.
Laboral took full advantage a relatively blunt Zaragoza attack - limiting their opponents to 20 points in the final two quarters.
Just 12 points separated the sides going into the second half of the final quarter, but the scoring was then dominated by Laboral, who recorded a 17th league victory of the campaign to leave the visitors' play-off hopes under threat.
Valencia also recorded a crucial victory over a play-off rival - proving too strong for FIATC Joventut in a thrilling 95-91 success.
Pau Ribas was a thorn in the side for his former club - weighing in with 20 of Valencia's points - as the hosts fought back from 88-87 down to claim victory in the final stages at the Pabellon Municipal Fuente San Luis.
"There are things we have to work on," said Valencia head coach Carles Duran.
"Winning here is very important, but we also need to gain a win at home next week [against La Bruixa d'Or].
"We are starting to play for very important things and I hope that our people will help us in Fonteta; no one can scare us home."
Friday's only action saw MoraBanc Andorra run out 81-76 winners against Movistar Estudiantes, while a day later Sevilla moved a step away from relegation with a 78-72 victory at La Bruixa d'Or.
Iberostar Tenerife saw off Dominion Bilbao 101-83 while play-off hopefuls Murcia made it back-to-back wins against Herbalife Gran Canaria.
Gipuzkoa and Montakit Fuenlabrada rounded off the weekend's action on Sunday at the Plaza de Toros de Illumbe.
Having been tied at 70 points apiece after four periods, the visitors ran out 86-74 victors in overtime to record a first victory in six league outings.
