Jordan Spieth made a run in Saturday's third round at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Everyone could be running for shelter before the day is through.

But early eyes were on Spieth, the Texan who is becoming the star of the PGA Tour. Spieth won the Masters and is arguably the biggest name playing this weekend in Fort Worth. He was a co-leader after Round 1 but stumbled on Friday. He missed the cut at The Players Championship, where Rory McIlroy won. McIlroy followed his victory by missing the cut at this week's BMW Championship in England.
With weather threatening to close down play, tournament officials started the third round early.
