Former Formula One driver Jarno Trulli has no doubt Ferrari will be strong at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
While Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton leads the drivers' championship, Ferrari's good start to the season and win in Malaysia came as a surprise.
Sebastian Vettel, who is second to Hamilton in the standings, was victorious at Sepang.
Trulli, who raced in F1 from 1997 to 2011, said he expected Ferrari to challenge in Bahrain.
"I strongly believe Ferrari can have another great result in Bahrain like they did in Malaysia," he said.
"The same happened to us in Toyota in 2005. That was my first year in Toyota, I got my first podium in Malaysia. It was very hot and nobody was expecting such a competitive car.
"In the next race we went in Bahrain and we got the first row and a second place in the race.
"Malaysia and Bahrain are two similar tracks in terms of characteristics and technical requirements of the car. I bet Ferrari will be very competitive in Bahrain."
