Kjetil Jansrud returned to form in the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup downhill event with a narrow victory in Saturday's meet in Kitzbuhel.
The Norwegian started the season with downhill wins at Lake Louise and Beaver Creek, before finishing runner-up in Val Gardena, but placed 17th and fifth in his last two races in the discipline.
However, Jansrud - whose previous best on the famous Kitzbuhel slopes was seventh - returned to the top of the podium at the Austrian venue, edging Dominik Paris by just 0.2 seconds.
Heavy fog saw race delayed, while the starting position was brought forward.
The difficult conditions did not stop Jansrud, though, as he clocked a time of 58.16 seconds in the shortened run to become the first Norwegian downhill victor in Kitzbuhel in 11 years.
Italian Paris broke his World Cup duck for the season by winning Friday's super-G.
His narrow runners-up finish leaves him 127 points adrift of Jansrud in the downhill standings.
Frenchman Guillermo Fayed completed the podium, while home-favourite Georg Streitberger and American Steven Nyman were fourth and fifth respectively.
