If the Mighty Ducks  - the Disney movie, naturally – has taught us anything  it’s that penalty shots come down to being flashy and going glove-side, or playing it safe and shooting past the stick.

Also, it really helps your game time if the coach is attracted to your mum.

However, the amateur goalie in the video above threw a spanner into the works by introducing another element to consider: the threat of imminent decapitation.

In almost any league in the world, regardless of the sport, that shot would earn the goalie some serious time on the sidelines.

Not in ice hockey, though.
