Joe Schmidt has recalled Cian Healy and Luke Fitzgerald into Ireland's starting XV for Saturday's crucial Six Nations encounter against Scotland.

Healy replaces Jack McGrath at loose-head prop, with the latter perhaps unlucky to start on the bench at Murrayfield having proved an able deputy throughout the tournament.

However, Healy - who has come off the bench in the last three matches - appears to have fully recovered from a hamstring injury and will add experience to Ireland's forwards.

Fitzgerald has been plagued by injuries throughout his career and his last Ireland appearance came against New Zealand in November 2013.

His impressive performances for Leinster and with Ireland's training camp have earned him a recall, though, and he comes in on the wing in place of Simon Zebo, who struggled in last week's defeat to Wales.

Ireland travel to Scotland looking for back-to-back Six Nations titles, with Schmidt's men tied on six points along with England and Wales ahead of what is sure to be a thrilling finale.
