Daniela Hantuchova produced a devastating display as she raced past Duan Ying-ying in less than hour to reach the Pattaya Open semi-finals on Friday.
Slovakian Hantuchova is seeking a third title at the Thai tournament and looked in fine fettle as she wrapped up a 6-3 6-0 triumph in just 59 minutes.
The world number 73 made one blip when she missed the chance to serve out for the opening set when leading 5-1, but made no mistake the next time of asking.
Duan then capitulated in the second set and Hantuchova - winner of the event in 2011 and 2012 - secured the second-set whitewash in just 28 minutes.
Awaiting in the last four is Marina Erakovic, who dug deep to secure a come-from-behind 2-6 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 triumph over two-time winner Vera Zvonareva.
Zvonareva was made to rue a missed opportunity when she failed to serve out for the match at 5-3, as Erakovic reeled off four straight games to progress from the quarter-final tie.
On the other side of the draw, Monica Puig will meet Ajla Tomljanovic after both players secured comfortable straight set wins over Misaki Doi and Evgeniya Rodina respectively.
