Five-star running back Zamir White committed to Georgia on Tuesday, a huge addition for the Bulldogs' 2018 class.

White, who plays at Scotland County high School in Laurinburg, N.C., picked Georgia over schools such as Clemson, North Carolina and Ohio State. The commitment adds to the haul for second-year coach Kirby Smart.

247Sports.com ranks White as the No. 1 running back for 2018 and the No. 6 overall prospect in the nation. White, nicknamed "Zeus," rushed for 5,083 yards and 85 TDs the last three seasons. That drew a lot of interest.

White's commitment continues an impressive run of running backs that have picked Georgia this decade, including Isaiah Crowell (2011), Todd Gurley (2012), Keith Marshall (2012), Nick Chubb (2014), Sony Michel (2014) and D'Andre Swift (2017). Crowell, Marshall, Chubb and Michel were all five-star prospects.

Chubb and Michel return this year, but that will leave an opening for White to step in for 2018.
