What a way to start the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season

Kurt Busch made a last-lap pass to win the 2017 Daytona 500, a crash-filled race that had  35 of the 40-car field involved in a wreck in some way or another.

Busch passed Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson down the stretch to win his first Daytona 500. Busch entered Sunday with five top fives, including two second-place finishes, at the 500.

Ryan Blaney finished second, followed by AJ Allmendinger and Aric Almirola. 

The race featured nine cautions and 37 lead changes.
