Believe it or not, Belgian Laurens De Plus is ok after a horror crash saw him topple 10 metres down a mountain during the Giro di Lombardia.

The 22-year-old, competing in the same event he was forced to quit last year, skidded at a downhill turn and plummeted over the side barriers in a breath-taking crash.

Though falling an estimated 10 metres onto greenery below, the Belgian managed to walk away from the shocking crash with his team later confirming De Plus was ok.
"We've spoken to Laurens De Plus, who luckily has no serious injury," his team said.
Italy's Vincenzo Nibali went on to win the event in Italy for a second time as he finished 30 seconds ahead of France's Julian Alaphilippe.
