Faced with a one-shot lead heading into the 18th, Chris Kirk made things interesting on the final hole of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
After hooking his drive left into the trees, Kirk had an small opening toward the green. His ball came to rest just off the back edge of the putting surface, setting up a nervy chip shot down the slope. He then checked up his awkward chip short of his intended landing spot and it came to rest about eight feet from the hole.

Meanwhile, Kirk's playing partner, Brandt Snedeker, missed a 12-foot putt to tie Kirk at 12-under-par. Snedeker's putt missed on the low side, and Kirk stepped up and drained his par putt to remain in the lead.
“I’m very disappointed," Snedeker said on CBS. "I played great, gave myself good looks, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes.”
Third-round leader Kevin Na struggled on Sunday, mired by a double bogey on the ninth hole. Though he started his round birdie-birdie, Na never looked comfortable with the lead and finished at 8-under-par.
Na had a one-shot lead over Ian Poulter heading into the day, but Poulter couldn't join Rickie Fowler in the "most overrated player" winner's circle. The two golfers were voted most overrated earlier this month by their peers, but Fowler silenced his critics with a win at the Players Championship.
Once Poulter failed to hole out his second shot from the fairway on 18, Kirk won the tournament at 12 under, his fourth win on tour.
“I was as nervous as I’ve ever been today.” Kirk said on CBS. “I’ve always loved this golf course. It’s been my favorite tournament on tour, even before I was on tour, but I wasn’t swinging it all that great heading into the week."
World No. 2 Jordan Spieth gave his hometown fans something to cheer about with an impressive 5-under 65 on Sunday, and a dramatic 19-foot birdie putt on 18, but came up one-shot short at 11 under.
"I shot 8 under on the weekend, and really stuck it out this week after a tough start," Spieth said on CBS. "I got a nice loud roar on 18. I wanted to give (the fans) something to cheer about, because they were great all week."
Spieth will also headline line next week's field at the AT&T Byron Nelson in Irving, Texas.
