Scotland coach Vern Cotter has recalled three Glasgow Warriors players from club duty this weekend to protect them for the Six Nations showdown with England.
Winger Tommy Seymour, lock Tim Swinson and fly-half Finn Russell have all been called into training with the national team in a bid to avoid further injuries to the squad.
The trio are now set to join eight other members of Cotter's squad for a two-day training camp.
Seymour was set to play for the Warriors in Friday's Pro12 fixture against Zebre, but Sean Maitland's failure to recover from a shoulder injury meant he was withdrawn.
Similarly, back-rower Alasdair Strokosch suffered ankle ligament damage in the 22-19 defeat to Italy last weekend, forcing Cotter to call on Swinson.
Cotter's men have suffered three straight defeats in this season's Six Nations and will look to buck the trend in the Calcutta Cup clash at Twickenham on March 14.
