LAS VEGAS — On Wednesday, the final press conference was held before Saturday's showdown between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.

The presser lacked drama, but did have a couple noteworthy moments courtesy of the UFC lightweight champion. McGregor looked over at Mayweather and told him that he made a big mistake wanting to face him and he plans on quieting everyone who feels he will lose.

“I’m gonna f— this boy up, make no mistake,” McGregor said. "When it's all said and done I'm going to feel a little bit sad. You should have kept your mouth shut and left me over where I was. This man is not on my level. He's not a quarter of the man I am. Everyone is going to eat their words on Saturday."

Last week, the Nevada State Athletic Commission allowed Mayweather and McGregor to wear eight-ounce gloves instead of the customary 10 ounces for any fight over 147 pounds. McGregor feels Mayweather is going to regret filing a petition with the NSAC.

“Eight-ounce gloves, he made a big, big error in my opinion,” McGregor said. “I don’t see him lasting two rounds. I feel I have the decision to end it inside one.

“He messed up with those eight-ounce gloves. It was amusing and all that, but I’m very, very happy for eight. We usually fight in four, we’re going to fight in eight. Keep your hands up, keep your hands down, I don’t care. I’m going to break through whatever is in front of me.”

Near the end of the presser, McGregor was asked if he would bet on himself to win. In McGregor fashion, he took one final shot at Mayweather and perceived he had a gambling problem.

“I certainly know I’m going to win,” McGregor said. “I certainly know that. He’s got a gambling problem from what I can tell. He gambles on halftimes and things like that. He shows what his wins are, he never shows what his losses are. That’s why he’s in this position and he has to take this fight. I’m focused on the fight, not gambling.”
