The Tigers were on the back foot following a dubious Daniel Tupou try in the opening minutes and it took until well into the second half for the visitors to cross the chalk.
Mitchell Moses put up a bomb and Mitch Aubusson looked to have it covered before Chris Lawrence came from the clouds and stole the ball to score what he thought was his first try in 18 games.
It was a freakish effort from Lawrence but the video refs ruled Aubusson 'took a clean catch before the Tigers player (Lawrence) came in and took the ball away'.
