England's Stuart Broad was forced out of Wednesday's warm-up match against a St Kitts and Nevis Invitational XI before returning to action later in the day.
Broad slipped in the build-up to a delivery and was forced off in the second of two warm-up contests, ahead of England's three-match Test series against West Indies.
That gets under way in Antigua on Monday and, following initial concerns, Broad returned to the action.
"Unfortunately Broad has been forced to limp off after slipping on loose wicket when running in," the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed initially.
Then, providing an update, the organisation added: "Good news as Stuart Broad has had ice on his left ankle and is set to return to the field of play shortly."
England batsmen Jonathan Trott, Gary Ballance and Jonny Bairstow played as part of the hosts' batting line-up, with the St Kitts side set to bat out 90 overs in an attempt to give the tourists' bowlers a stiff work-out.
Trott failed to give team-mate Jimmy Anderson too many troubles, however, falling for a third-ball duck.
