Himself chasing a 20th grand slam title, Swiss legend Roger Federer happened to cross paths with Alcott after his win and the 36-year-old made sure to congratulate the Aussie in a classy exchange.

Alcott is no stranger to rubbing shoulders with some big names having met American Will Smith earlier in the week.

The 27-year-old is a star in his own right having won gold medals in both wheelchair basketball and tennis, along with his now five grand slams.

Federer will look to secure another Australian Open of his own on Sunday night as he looks to defend his crown against Marin Cilic.
