North Korea plans on sending a delegation consisting of athletes, a cheering squad and high-ranking officials to the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea next month.

North Korean officials made the announcement on Wednesday (AEDT).
The two Koreas also agreed to hold military talks aimed at easing border tensions, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap, via USA Today .
According to the USA Today report, South Korea proposed both countries march in together during the Games' opening and closing ceremonies.
The last time both countries marched together under the same flag was at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
North Korea has won one silver and one bronze medal in its Winter Games history.
This would be North Korea's first Winter Games since 2010. The country did not participate in the 2014 Games in Sochi.
The Winter Games take place Feb. 9-25.
