The Cleveland Browns will have one more chance to get a win in 2017, but at least they will enter the final week of a miserable season with the top overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft secured.

Cleveland managed to lock down the top pick for the second consecutive year with a 20-3 loss at the Bears on Sunday that dropped the visitors to 0-15 this season.

The result ensured the New York Giants, 2-12 entering a late-afternoon game at the Arizona Cardinals, would not be able to match Cleveland's tale of woe.

After selecting Myles Garrett number one overall last time out, Cleveland will become the first team to pick at the top of the draft in consecutive years since the very same franchise did so in 1999 and 2000.

With another loss in the books for Cleveland this weekend, the stakes for Hue Jackson's team in Week 17 are straightforward. A loss at the playoff-bound Pittsburgh Steelers on New Year's Eve will give the Browns the second 0-16 season in NFL history, joining the 2008 Detroit Lions.
