Australian results Tokyo Paralympic Games Day 7, Aussies in action: Darren Hicks claims cycling gold image

Plenty of medal hopes on day 7 in Tokyo as the Aussies look to add to their tally of 11 gold medals.

Jarryd Clifford and Maddie de Rozario are in action on the track.

Gold medallists in the velodrome Emily Petricola and Paige Greco are jumping on to the road for the time trial, heaps of medals chances in the pool.

While Dylan Alcott plays off for a spot in the Men's quad singles final.

James Turner breaks Paralympic Record on the track

James Turner has taken out gold in the Men's 400m T36 final.

Turner broke the Paralympic Record after leading for most of the race, stopping the clock at 52.80.

He was the world record holder going into the event and heavily favoured to take out gold.

It's the 25-year-olds second Paralympic gold after he won the Men's 800m T36 at the Rio Paralympic Games.

Darren Hicks claims gold on the road

Australia's Darren Hicks has started day seven off in perfect fashion by claiming gold in the Men's C2 Time Trial.

Hicks completed the 24km course in a time of 34:39.78.

That was over a minute and a half faster than the next competitor, Belgium's Ewoud Vromant.
